Jerry promptly called the seller’s lawyer and they both agreed to meet at the site. On getting to the site, Jerry met the supposed owner of the building together with some policemen. After making all efforts to explain his recent acquisition, he was dragged to the station together with Tony, the supervisor.
What really happened: what did Jerry do wrong?
At the station, Jerry heard the full gist. Mr. Carlolo was the former owner of the property but he has sold it to Mr. Adewale two years earlier. Adewale had paid N8million Naira out of the N10 Million price. To everyone’s surprise, Carlolo has refused to collect the balance insiring the the new price N15 million. He has refused to refund Adewakle and has been trying to sell of the property to new buyers since.
